-Plan and execute the dispatching of outgoing freight to include contracted carriers. -Build all loads to maximize truck utilization and minimize out of route mileage.-Work with carriers to schedule loads in the carrier portal for pickup.-Ensure that all outgoing loads are correctly built to tie height specifications and correct quantity in relation to the orders placed by the customers.-Maintain carrier delivery performance scorecard.-Maintain and track shipping costs and provide transportation reports as required.-Collaborate with Customer Service and Warehouse Supervisor to strive for continuous improvement in transportation cost efficiencies and the utmost in customer service. -Ensure proper means of disposal for all distressed product and recycled materials.-Monitor carrier compliance to EPA SmartWay program.-Maintain Ryder Route Guide outgoing and inbound loads at all times.-Develop transportation strategies and technologies for expansion markets.-Maintain GMP’s at the highest levels in all areas of responsibility.
