My role at CCS included day to day managing and the heading up of sales in a medium sized company focusing on supplying cleaning and janitorial equipment to industry and institutions. This led to development of high reach cleaning equipment which became a fast growing market, enabling me to buy out this niche range of equipment from CCS and continue to develop it from the current Varitech Systems platform, of whom I am the founder and Managing Director to this day.

My role at Lubricants SW was to break into and grow key accounts in the food processing industry, mainly in the South West of England. The task was challenging, especially having just emigrated from South Africa, as the culture and way of dealing in business was so different to my previous experiences. It was a rewarding task though to break into blue chip companies and to prove that business is all about relationships and becoming a trusted supplier of choice.

Business Development Manager for the renowned Laser and Weedmaster range of tractor mounted grass cutting equipment. I enjoyed working with a diverse customer base from agricultural dealers and farmers' co-operatives throughout the Western Cape wine and deciduous fruit growing regions, to the apple growers of the Elgin valley. Elgin is a large, lush area of land full of apple and pear orchards, circled by mountains, in the Overberg region of South Africa. This broad upland valley lies about 70 km southeast of Cape Town, just beyond the Hottentots Holland Mountains. The scenery of the Western Cape is unsurpassed which made my role out selling all the more enjoyable.
