In March 2011, 'GEORGE'​ was launched. Richard recruited a group of 'Ambassadors'​ across different industries who were well connected in the City to help build the profile. The concept was also well received and supported by the British Consulate. The same year Richard and the team launched the first 'British Bash!'​ attended by 200 people, to coincide with the Royal Wedding which raised $17,000. Three years later the event attracted 330 people, we honored rugby hero, Jonny Wilkinson and raised $80,000 (see video below). In 2016, we honored Olympic hero, Sir Steve Redgrave and raised over $100,000 (see video in summary section). Between 2001 & 2015 Richard represented Knight Frank’s interests in the United States and played a vital role in the formation of the global partnership with Newmark in 2006.He was responsible for setting up the internal processes and systems and building a team to direct international referral business around the world. Results grew year on year, culminating in 2014, with 220 transactions across EMEA & Asia for 63 US clients totaling 1.5m sqft. He has traveled extensively across the US visiting the majority of NGKF’s 100 offices and presenting to brokers on, ‘How to do International Business’. He is therefore well versed in the challenges for British companies doing business in America with the geographical scale, time zones and cultural nuances between the regions. He has been at the forefront of the branding and marketing challenges that an 'alliance' structure brings.Between 2006 and 2010 he sat on the initial NGKF GCS board and helped set up the global structure with hubs in London (EMEA region) and Hong Kong (Asia Pac region) supporting New York.Between 2011-2015 he sat on the Knight Frank, Global Tenant Rep and Office Agency board, responsible for driving revenue through improving communication and collaboration across the globe. Richard has visited many of the Knight Frank’s offices around the world and presented at numerous internal conferences across Europe & Asia. Richard also supports Knight Frank’s landlord clients such as British Land, Land Securities, Brookfield, Great Portland Estates, Sellar Property Group (The Shard) & Setia (Battersea Power Station), providing intel on US corporates with requirements in their markets, and work place trends emanating from the US. In addition, Richard helped Knight Frank’s Capital Markets teams by welcoming their investment clients to New York and helping them navigate the US market. Richard was also responsible for facilitating the relationship between Knight Frank Residential and Douglas Elliman.

Richard volunteered as a business advisor to Sparks in North America. Sparks were one of the original charity partners on Captain's Knock events and collaborated on the first London event, American Football v Rugby, hosted by Dan Lyle, with Martin Johnson, Gavin Hastings and Dhani Jones in 2014.Sparks is a leading children’s medical research charity dedicated to funding and championing pioneering research into a range of conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be.

Prior to relocating to the United States, Richard was ‘Head of Agency’ at Knight Frank Poland, managing a team of twelve, doing both tenant and landlord representation.During this time Richard exclusively represented IBM, Novell and Diebold, setting up or relocating their office/industrial operations in Warsaw. Richard was also responsible for opening satellite Knight Frank offices in Wroclaw, Poznan and Krakow. His major achievement in Poland was closing one of the largest office transactions in Eastern and Central Europe when acting for a German developer in leasing 150,000 square feet of speculatively built offices to WBK Bank, a subsidiary of the Allied Irish Bank, in Poznan.

Richard started his career as a graduate trainee at Richard Ellis (now CBRE) in London. After a year in business rates, advising clients on how to reduce their business rates liability, he moved to the property management department. Here he gained valuable experience on all aspects of how the covenants agreed in a lease between landlord and tenant, are actually implemented day-to-day; covering all aspects such as rent collection, insurance, repairs, service-charge management, sub-leasing, assignments and rent reviews etc.Richard also gained 3 months experience in the portfolio valuation department to fulfill the requirements of the RICS.Richard then moved to the 'National Division', where he represented both landlord and tenants around the Greater London area, in both the industrial and office sectors and gained his first corporate real estate experience.
