About Richard Shirtcliffe

With nearly 30 years of experience as a CEO, CMO, CRO, and Director in NZ, the US, and the UK, I specialise in enabling purpose-driven impact businesses, especially in climate tech, to scale both nationally & internationally. I am a certified member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand (MInstD) and a consultant for various impact ventures.I am passionate about big ideas that courageously seek to improve the world, and I build teams around a deep sense of purpose and a willingness to try new and creative ways to make a real impact. I take a 'venture studio' approach and look for early-stage NZ impact IP that has global potential. I combine data, creativity, and strategy to power purpose-driven growth and build disruptive 'triple bottom line' businesses.Since 2018, I have been on a mission to 'un-muck the world' by creating businesses that trash the status quo: eliminating single-use plastic and GHG, designing out waste, and transforming polluting categories by delivering better products in a better way. I am a co-founder and director of Wild Clean, the world's first certified plastic-negative cleaning company, and an investor and advisor for several other impact ventures, such as Peoples Coffee, Double Vision Brewing, and Pulse (Saber Foods Ltd).
