I am primarily responsible for ensuring the senior leaders have access to meaningful reporting from the various regions around the world, and that AMI fulfils its reporting obligations to the group Parent. This includes but not limited to financial statements and consolidation, revenue and GP forecasts, cash flow reviews, cost-variance analysis and debtor analysis. I work with the CEO and CFO on the 12-month and 5 Year plans, providing analysis and insight on new market opportunities, possible acquisitions and new product development.I manage the annual budget process, quarterly re-forecasting, and monthly projections analysis, consolidating 11 regions and numerous branches. I work closely with the four regional heads of finance and provide support to the regional finance teams with any finance, accounting or audit queries that arise. I maintain the Central Management and IT Support management accounts including journal entries, and manage the monthly and annual intercompany recharges following the appropriate transfer pricing agreements and procedures.In addition to FP&A and accounting, I am the first approval-level for capital investment proposals and ensure each proposal goes through the correct process for ultimate sign-off. I am responsible for formalising AMI’s controls documentation; confirming that the controls in place meet or exceed MSOX requirements, and where there is a non-compliance develop a plan to correct. I am also working with the IT team to continue the implementation of Power BI, which will consolidate four finance ERP’s into a single reporting platform.Key achievements:Creating a concise group finance pack, including KPI analysis and 24-month run rates by branch.Launched the implementation of Power BI. I successfully built reporting based on market data, that is now being used by the Regional Sales Teams, and reignited the Power BI implementation following senior management buy-in.
