I am a 5th grade teacher at Carmel Clay Schools, where I have been working since Aug 2023. I am also a master's student at Butler University, pursuing an educational leadership degree through the Experiential Program for Preparing School Leaders, expected to graduate in Dec 2024. My core competencies include writing, teamwork, leadership, decision making, peer to peer collaboration, presentations, oral communication, and data-driven instruction.In my previous roles as a kindergarten and first grade teacher at MSD Washington Township, I observed, planned, taught, and assessed practice to inform and modify instruction for multicultural classes with many levels of ability. I collaborated with families and colleagues to ensure student success and family involvement, and established and maintained positive and respectful classroom culture through effective behavior management and classroom management. I value continuous learning, diversity, and equity, and I aim to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
