A leasing group with c500 employees and T/O of £200mResponsibilities included all control functions, the production of statutory reports, coordinating the annual audit, the consolidation of the monthly management accounts, preparation and presentation of the monthly results to the group finance director, orchestrating compliance with global SOx requirements, the carrying out of due diligence and the financial integration of businesses acquired.Specific projects undertaken included • Analysing the underlying reasons for the drop in the group's overall profitability, the implementation of remedial actions to resolve this drop • The development of the group finance function • Being involved from a financial perspective in the upgrade of the group's finance system.

I reported to the Finance Director. In this role I was responsible for amongst other things • The monthly management accounting for Cater Allen Premier Banking, Flemings Premier Banking and the combined entity • Regulatory (B of E and FSA) reporting. Project work undertaken included • Bank of England compliancy issues resulting from N2 including data clean up, coding issues, industry and sector classifications • Involvement in the migration of client accounts from the old banking system to the new banking system • The design of foreign currency and term products for the banking system • The design and implementation of an access database for the Bank of England and FSA returns • Staff management of 9 Romford finance personnel including the reconciliation and controls (Treasury) teams.
