At Texas Health Resources Cleburne I am part of their IT Solutions Customer Engagement electronic health record team. This team is responsible for providing Epic personal EHR support to physicians and clinicians at Texas Health Cleburne and working with programming/build teams to design the proper documentation and ordering interfaces for the electronic health record application. I also assist in face to face support and analysis during Epic go-lives and upgrades at other Texas Health Hospitals. Throughout my career here I have been given the privilege of completing the ITIL V3 Foundations certification and becoming an Epic CareConnect trainer within the Texas Health system.

At the Texas Health Resources Service Desk, I was able to provide end user support to a pool of over 25,000 employees. There I learned a little bit of everything, we supported over 400 different applications. This consisted of everything between Microsoft Office products to our very complex electronic health record, Epic. I was constantly recognized as one of the top performers at the THR Service Desk, this was due to customer satisfaction surveys and daily production of how many calls were taken. In December of 2010 I was offered a Systems Analyst position from Texas Health’s IT department, this position was specifically for Texas Health’s EHR application- Epic. I accepted this position.

I was an hourly associate responsible for accurately and productively moving products throughout the warehouse. While working at Wal-Mart I finished my Bachelor of Science degree in CIS at Tarleton State University. Throughout my career at Wal-Mart I have been awarded Associate of the Month twice and have been asked numerous times to apply to join the supervisor and management teams. These invitations were declined because I was concentrated on finishing my degree. I have also been known at Wal-Mart as a team leader, I was always a top performer and always willing to train others how to do their job more efficiently.

I participated in an internship with BizProtec, a company in Glen Rose, they did all of the Information Technology work for the Glen Rose Hospital. There I learned how to manage all of their LAN and WAN networking and troubleshoot many software, hardware, networking, and printer problems. In addition to working in the hospital setting, BizProtec also had other customers including the Somervell County Central Appraisal District, several surrounding medical offices, and two local trucking companies. This allowed me to get exposure to many different network, software, and hardware problems in different business settings.
