In the past, that has been building the solutions delivered via the web when teams were still providing client-server solutions or mobile solutions when people were still asking if Apple “could sell enough iPhone so that there would be a market for mobile apps.” For the past five years, he’s been building on bitcoin and blockchain to provide decentralized financial products and the on-ramps to them from traditional finance. A deep understanding of the technologies and the incentive models of conventional finance, governments, regulators, and law enforcement allows him to help with both the new and old worlds. Trust-less transfer of value over time and space can happen without an intermediary; this is new to human history. This will disrupt the main value proposition of the centralized financial system we have today. It will have repercussions far beyond what the Internet has over the past 40 years, and it will happen faster.
