Directed global operations for a contract manufacturing company with annual sales of over $30M, which caters to premiere window covering brands and building material industries. Managed a 230-employee facility in the design and production of complex, exclusive, sampling/marketing products including P&L responsibility and inventory/materials planning. Led multiple joint international co-production projects at manufacturing facilities in the USA, Mexico, Canada, and China. ● Managed manufacturing facility with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Facility Operations, in Tijuana, Mexico. Implemented capacity planning, rigorous process improvements and lean techniques across multiple departments, improved Mexico facility on-time delivery from 68.1% to 97.7% within 8 months. ● Directed operations to improve fulfillment product inventory levels from 59.4% to 99.3% within 4 months and improved on time, “in full” KPI's to 99.9%, with a focused client centric approach. ● Documented and implemented 112 new policies and procedures that yielded process consistency and reduced defects from 5.3% to 1.8%. Created manuals, in both English and Spanish and trained staff.● Directed and trained Project Management Departments in both Irvine, CA and Tijuana, Mexico. Established standardized processes for managing projects and client expectations ensuring quality and design integration at final assembly. Managed 50-60 unique projects each year, with output of over 300,000 deliverables.● Developed extensive cross-training program to develop factory employees offering growth opportunity and stemming a high turnover rate inherent in Mexico manufacturing environments.● Implemented numerous improvement projects including the creation of a standard parts catalog, automated manufacturing equipment, innovative manufacturing and quality processes and techniques, and custom packaging and testing techniques, etc.
