Hands-on technical manager with 15+ years of experience in performance engineering on cutting-edge HPC hardware. I’ve had the opportunity to pursue, win, and execute millions of dollars worth of projects in the HPC space both independently and collaboratively. I developed and led the application acceptance process for the Frontera system, which debuted as #5 on the Top 500 list of the world’s fastest supercomputers. Currently, I lead a team of engineers focused on enabling and optimizing the GPU components for the 2+ exaflop Aurora system’s SDK. Beyond my experience with technical team management I have expertise in:- Large-scale distributed systems monitoring (tools development, infrastructure, and operations) - High Performance Computing- Workload characterization for system design - Application performance evaluation and optimization for CPU and GPU - HPC systems architecture (high-speed interconnects, parallel filesystems, operations infrastructure)- C/C++, Python, Bash, OpenMP, MPI, SYCL - Proposal preparation and project executionMy work has been presented in over 50 publications.
