My focus for the past 15 years has been in managing, developing, and delivering capacity management, performance engineering and monitoring solutions. Bringing that experience and expertise to multiple customers is a new opportunity and venture that I look forward to doing.

Responsible for cost and capacity optimization of Target.com. Integrating business forecasts, capacity requirements, site performance and managed service provider costs enabled optimizing managed server provider run costs and ensured capacity met business demand. Monitored code efficiency through correlation of resource utilization and service demand informed development teams of reduced code efficiency and tuning opportunities to avoid out of control capacity growth at hosting provider.

Functioning as the manager for performance testing and engineering for Target.com – a top 20 online business. Setting the direction, developing the strategy, and managing delivery of performance engineering and testing of eCommerce technologies at Target.

As a Team Member in Target Technology Services I manage the Enterprise Capacity Planning Team.

In my primary role as Group Lead, I manage the teams that provide three service delivery functions: capacity management, performance testing and systems/event monitoring. I provide leadership, mentoring, performance management, budgeting and labor management for three teams in this role. My secondary role is to manage labor budgeting and forecasting for Global Engineering and Operations as a special assignment to the group’s Senior Executive.

Managed the Data Management Center of Excellence (COE). Best Buy IS departments were faced with highly variable staffing demands for application teams due to major swings in capital investment and business priorities. Resource demands fluctuated within teams, but resource sharing and cross team movement were challenging. The DM COE was one of COEs that provided services to Best Buy development projects and managed vendor relationships to meet variable staffing needs.
