Aussie Farmers Direct was Australia's first independent grocery delivery businesses to reach a national scale. They were pioneers in the grocery delivery space. Their mission resonated with millions, which lead to a strong community of people who wanted to bypass the supermarket duopoly and support Australian farmers. The core offering was online shopping for fresh fruit and veg directly from Australian farmers delivered by Aussie Farmers Direct franchisees.As a Technical Lead at Aussie Farmers Direct I provided technical guidance and support to other team members as well as the wider Aussie Farmers Direct group. As well as hands on development my role also included gathering and documenting requirements, planning and executing technical deliverables and defining policies and processes focusing on improving AFD platform

As a senior develop at Aussie Farmers Direct I was involved in mentoring junior/mid-level staff improving their skill sets, introducing and maintaining industry best practice approaches to scoping, design, development, refactoring and debugging and continued expantion and implementation of AFD’s technical roadmap.

Finca Corporation (also trading as BlueStone Ventures) primarily focused around the purchase, management, monetization and sale of domain name portfolios.As a senior developer at Finca Corporation I maintained and improved internal systems (primarily PHP based). This included performing data transformation and migrations of large datasets, implementing source control and a CI/CD pipeline, implementing processes around bug/feature management, implementation of various reports.As well as the above I was also involved with developing data mining/scraping software and an asset management system which was needed since (at that time) MYOB’s maximum number of assets was not large enough to manage all the assets.

Freshtel was a direct-to-market retail channel off Freshtel Holdings Limited which is an Australian telephony company developing and marketing Voice over IP products and services.As a web application developer, I maintained and improved internal systems and was involved in database, application and site architecture design and development working with PHP, CSS, JavaScript and HTML.Some of the key projects delivered during my time with Freshtel were monitoring and reporting tools, workflow engines (based on BPMN/XML files), integration of jQuery/Ajax (UX improvements) and integration of various payment gateways.
