In my role as Treasury Advisor Corporate Finance I am responsible for bank relationship management, credit and contingent liability facilities within FedEx Express International. Furthermore, I am involved in corporate debt transactions and any other financings at regional levels to ensure that related documentation is consistent (e.g. the key clauses/thresholds) and acceptable. In respect of investment proposals for our operating entities I look after lease vs buy analyses and provide recommendations thereon. -

In this capacity I ensure via an annually revised financial strategy that the capital structure of TNT Express is optimized both today and forward looking, creating maximum shareholder value whilst allowing enough financial flexibility by means of the ability to raise additional funding. Furthermore, I am responsible for all material financing transactions, such as corporate revolvers, private placements, (listed) debt securities, (finance) leases, commercial paper, equity related transactions including dividends and any other material financings whilst ensuring all related documentation is consistent (e.g. the key clauses/thresholds) and acceptable. In terms of financing, the aim of the job is to seek out and implement value added financing solutions for TNT Express. -
Regional Treasury Manager EuropeTnt Express Apr 2004 - Apr 2013As Regional Treasury Manager, I am responsible for all Treasury aspects and activities of the TNT entities within the European region. This responsibility entails amongst others ensuring improvements in cash concentration processes are captured, the optimization of the internal capital structure, arranging of funding through 3rd party debt, review of parental support request, supply finance arrangements and set-up of cash management infrastructures. Key in this role is to have a pro-active approach. Regular contacts via conference calls and site visits of the various TNT subsidiaries in my region are a component to identify improvement areas and local needs. Within my current role I have been involved in migrating the treasury function in TNT's Treasury department, the set-up of a treasury team for divisions that have spun off.
