Supervised 20 superintendents in active adult community, moving into different community with 10 supervisors. Implemented training programs for internal and external team members on skills and processes. Through downturn in real estate industry, position was eliminated and transitioned to role of one of two superintendents, maintaining many of the same responsibilities with new title. Trained both internal employees and external contractors on Shea best practices and expected quality standards via development of clear, easily measured standards for each discipline. Wrote, developed, and revised working standards as needed. Vetted potential vendors’ and contractors’ processes and safety standards to identify whether or not they would become viable partners. Managed all construction activities in four communities with up to 400 homes. Managed teams of assistant superintendents, customer-service professionals, and tradespeople working at each site. Coordinated communications with homebuyers, sales, architects, vendors, engineers, designers, inspectors, and municipalities from planning stages until move-in.
