Responsibilities included developing and managing the capital budget for Southern Division, Country and Ports. Ensuring projects are developed, budgeted, approved, executed and closed out in line with safety, stakeholder, scope, budget and schedule expectations.During this time I also managed several diverse projects including electrical and control upgrades, materials handling systems, and construction of grain storage facilities.

Responsibilities included:-• End to end project delivery from initiation to handover and support.• Building business cases to support the positive benefits of project outcomes.• Procurement - Development of specifications, contracts, tendering, contract negotiations.• Budget development, gaining authorisation, control, closeout.• Technical and project support for the Maintenance team across the state.During this time I was privileged to manage many projects across Victoria, including:-• A woodchip receival and handling system where we combined an innovative transport solution and a new materials handling facility within an operational and physically tight brownfield site to provide an unmanned 24/7 business solution.• Building grain storage facilities across 14 sites in a 5 month time frame to support the business strategy.• Maintaining and upgrading aging infrastructure such as rail structures, concrete towers, concrete and steel silos, gravel and sealed roads.

The "Sugar Works" provided a great founding in engineering and project management.I was able to work on all manner of projects from boiler overhauls; turbine overhauls; design-build-commission and operate processing and packaging lines; install materials handling systems; silos; dense-phase pneumatic conveying systems; overhaul dock cranes; demolish large warehouses; lay large areas of concrete within the factory. All undertaken in an operating, brownfield setting with all the safety, quality and operational challenges this entails.Highlights:-Successfully designed, built, commissioned and operated the Brown Sugar processing and packing facility. Including liquid and solids metering, blending, packing, robotic palletising, building design detail to obtain a state of the art food-grade facility.
