As General Counsel and Head of Business Affairs at Underknown, Richard is part of the senior management team charged with managing all contracts, legal negotiations and copyright strategy and is playing a key role in building Underknown Studios and capitalizing on Underknown's M&A, financing and partnership opportunities.Richard also runs his own legal practice through Inter Alia Law and his clients include SaaS providers, content distributors and start-up technology companies in emerging industries. Richard was previously in-house counsel at CanWest Global and Shaw Communications where he managed a team of contract specialists and handled all matters related to content licensing and distribution.
