Technology Advisory Practice

Azzurri Communications is a private equity backed buy and build focussing on mid-market telecoms integration based around the leading edge services offered by carriers and equipment vendors. The challenge was to integrate 16 acquisitions into a single organisation with appropriate levels of debt funding.

Following the split of Ramesys Holdings into two businesses, I stayed with the application software business RedSkyIT as CFO. RedSkyIT focussed on business critical enterprise software applications into three vertical market: Construction, Hospitality and Professional Bodies. RedSkyIT was purchased by Explorer software in January 2007 in a successful private equity exit.

Part of the Ramesys Holdings Group, where I was the Group Finance Director, focussing on turnaround, reposition and exit on behalf of the private equity owners. The business was split into two in December 2005: Ramesys and RedSkyIT, with Ramesys sold as a MBO. Ramesys specialises in software and IT services into the Education and Professional Services markets - predominantly based upon Microsoft technologies, with large infrastructure deployment a key strength

Prior to the change of name to Omnetica, I was CFO of Siemens Network Systems Group, a multi-national network systems integrator based in Hemel. During the period 1996 to 2000, the business enjoyed explosive growth in turnover and profitability and was sold by Siemens in a private equity transaction in 2002.

I was Financial Controller through the pre-revenue stage of building the multi-million £ infrastructure of the alternative telecoms carrier, into the growth stage, where revenues built successfully on the back of the UK market de-regulation.
