Intuto is a New Zealand company that has been offering innovative training solutions globally since 2000. Since then we have watched the needs of organisations change dramatically. To address this change we undertook a major strategic market review including interviewing a broad range of organisations to understand how they used, or in many cases, didn't use, training systems. It became clear that the organisational need was for an inexpensive solution that would make knowledge collection and transfer quick and easy. And that's what Intuto provides. A training platform that is full featured, simple and fun to use.

Moving out to try things on your own is a challenging step. It needs a plan and a supportive family. (Family -tick). (Plan - tick).The plan was very simple. Start a range of companies, try not to go broke with any of them and see what sticks. Technocatz became Intuto (tick), Nectars is a company that exports iconic Kiwi foods (still going with my role now as a Director - tick), Margreta was a building development company (I narrowly avoided going broke - half tick), The Virtual Creative Department was a small advertising agency that paid the bills for a while. ( I should have brought someone in to run it and shared the upside - a valuable lesson - no tick) and Central Station is a print production company (Still going- I learned a valuable lesson about the ethics of some people in business. No one in my business will ever behave like that - half a tick).Learned some lessons, met some great people, and have some great opportunities ahead. All good!

I joined Coca-Cola Amatil NZ (CCANZ) on a one year secondment as Marketing Manager from the Agency where I was National Media Director. A big knowledge shift and fabulous experience. Returned to the Agency as an Account Director, my dream job. I was, I think, probably the worst account director in the history of advertising.After about a year, an opportunity came up back at CCANZ to move back into the same position and that really was the dream job. Did a range of roles with the company in Marketing and sales including stepping into the Regional Marketing Directors role for 6 months, commuting to Sydney every week from Auckland. Interesting.The an opportunity to get out and try it on my own.
