I am a litigation lawyer with a practice that includes Estate litigation,commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, and employment law. I try to bring a practical and cost efficient approach to each file and attempt to secure an advantageous settlement for my clients whenever possible. Where settlement has not been possible, I have appeared in Ontario Courts at all levels. Over the years I have negotiated settlements in a wide variety of complex matters, including traffic fatality cases, disability claims, estate disputes, shareholder rights disputes and wrongful dismissal claims.After training as a mediator in 2003 and 2004, I have been mediating disputes in my areas of knowledge. I attempt to create a calm and respectful enviroment at mediation to allow participants to concentrate on resolving their disputes. When not practicing law, I serve on the Board of Directors and am past Chair of the Board of Directors of Progress Place, a Toronto not-for-profit organization that provides services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
