Built the Information infrastructure from its infancy into a major multi-country service with resilience to withstand major natural service disruptions.Led a TEM (Telecom Expense Management) project, consolidating and managing the telecom invoice expenses of the 20 subsidiary companies across North America, which earned refunds totaling $100K and an annual saving of $250K per year. Implemented a managed network in Canada with TELUS, and AT&T in the US. The project was implemented with a $0 cost increase to the budget, but accomplished an average of a 35% increase in general network performance and a 50% decrease in down time. Developed the corporate data centre located in Toronto to support the consolidated computing of the subsidiaries into a central computing centre. The data centre standardized the computing infrastructure on IBM’s blade server, Cisco networking and NetApp SAN technologies.Managed and maintained the Enterprise agreements with major vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, Citrix and WebSense, Telecom with AT&T, TELUS, and Verizon.Implemented VMware and Citrix XEN virtualization technologies which resulted in $900K+ of cost savings and enabled the corporation to quickly respond to business needs.Developed processes, templates and workflows to quickly integrate acquisitions into the corporate infrastructure. There were approximately 15 to 20 acquisitions per year.
