My latest book is "Future Minds: The Rise of Intelligence, From the Big Bang to the End of the Universe".A Big History exploration of the nature and future of intelligence, it explores the likely developments in AI, augmented human intelligence and much more over the course of the 21st century. Along the way, it asks the question: What if intelligence is more than a neuro-cognitive phenomenon and is, in fact, an underlying property of the universe?__________________________________In my work, I've observed many patterns in our dynamic relationship and interactions with technology. This lead me to research and write "Heart of the Machine", an exploration of the emerging technologies that interact with people through their emotions."Heart of the Machine: Our Future in a World of Artificial Emotional Intelligence" explores the emotional relationship between humanity and technology, from its earliest origins to emerging trends in social robotics and artificial emotional intelligence to anticipated developments that are well in the future. Heart of the Machine was published by the Arcade imprint of Skyhorse Publishing and is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and bookstores everywhere. Now in its second edition with a new foreword by Rana el Kaliouby. Available in hardcover, Kindle, Audio CD and Chinese editions, it is currently required reading in several university courses.
