Richard Young is well known throughout the Caribbean as a stylist, production designer and impresario. He is the founder/artistic director of his own event management/production design company for the past twenty five(25) years. He has been working extensively throughout the English-speaking Caribbean producing fashion/beauty/arts related events from the Bahamas in the North to Guyana in the South with stints in Miami, New York, Toronto and Montreal.Regional make-up artist, stylist, art director, fashion columnist, pageant director and model/beauty queen coach are only some of his myriad skills in his vast portfolio. His unique flair for event management resulted in him serving as a facilitator in the Event Management Programme at the Open School for the Arts, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as at The Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.Further,he was commissioned as creative consultant for television magazine shows- Dateline (Trinidad), Sunrise (St Lucia),Diatribe (Guyana). In addition to being director for Guyana Model Search/Designers'​ Portfolio ( a television reality series) for the last five years, he was the art director of the first movie filmed in Antigua - The Sweetest Mango- Recently he was cast as judge and creative consultant for the inaugural Caribbean's Next Top Model to be aired on CBS in February,2013. He is no stranger to the latter brand of television programming,for he consulted and judged on the pioneering television model series-Synergy Super Model- in Trinidad. With contributions to a few regional magazines under his belt, as well as to local newspaper columns, he eventually served as style editor for the Express Newspaper's Omg magazine in Trinidad.He also edited the Queen of Queens magazine for 5 years and was editor in chief to Guyana Fashion Weekend 5 event magazine.
