I'm a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with 30 + years of business experience and the founder and president of Veteran Franchise Advisers. I've experienced the good, bad, and legal of franchising and like to share my experiences to assist veterans to explore the world of franchise business opportunities.I served in the Marine Corps from 1976 to 1983, in the infantry and then as part of a joint Marine, Navy, and Air Force project. After my two tours, I worked as an electronics technician for a major communications company, and over the next 20+ years, I earned my degree in marketing and worked my way up the ranks to serve as the vice president of global marketing for an international software company.I've helped companies such as Chase Bank, Xerox, Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard expand or start new businesses. I participated in four software startups and started two businesses of my own – a computer training firm, CompuTutor, and a network design consulting firm. A Certified Franchise Adviser since 2011, I assist veterans to explore franchise business opportunities that best fit their financial, lifestyle, and personal goals.
