In this role I utilize my knowledge and experience of the Microsoft technology stack, Windows administration, and programming to deliver business critical solutions, which include:• Supporting the development team with the deployment of over 50 different sites and applications, including monitoring and maintaining several in-house-developed deployment and automation tools.• Analyzing, reverse engineering, and thoroughly documenting how the aforementioned in-house developed tools function, how to maintain them, and how to update and reconfigure them when needed.• Designing and implementing new automation to meet various business needs such as improved process and application monitoring, automated recovery, and reporting.• Investigating and designing proof of concepts for cross-platform automation using Dotnet Core and PowerShell.• Working across teams to collaborate on large projects such as migrations and upgrades of server infrastructure, SQL databases, and application platforms.• Designing a more streamlined documentation process to help DevOps team members create documentation more quickly and accurately. This includes creation of a document repository with intuitive searching and “single pane of glass” design, making it easy for anyone to find the information they need.

In this role I was the subject matter expert and lead engineer for a vast array of business-critical technologies including:• Microsoft infrastructure such as Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, Windows Server, and SQL Server.• Server and client virtualization with products such as VMware and Hyper-V.• Desktop and application delivery services such as Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and Citrix.Notable projects and tasks:• Planning and implementation of several Active Directory domains, including DNS, DHCP, and group policy.• Implementation, configuration, management, and migration of email systems including on-premises Exchange, Office 365, and G Suite.• Planning and implementation of single sign-on services such as Azure AD, ADFS, and Auth0.• Planning, upgrading, and migrating Active Directory domains for purposes such as domain controller operating system upgrades, decommissioning of legacy domains, and separation of domains for security.• Virtualization of physical server infrastructure to VMware, including configuration and management of VMware environments.• Planning and implementing infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, Opsview, and PRTG.• Utilizing Windows PowerShell and C# to create custom solutions for a variety of needs including automation of infrastructure tasks, report generation, data migration, and system and task monitoring.

My responsibilities at Geek Squad included:• Discussing PC issues with customers and helping them decide on the most effective way to resolve their problems.• Performing various repairs on customer PCs ranging from hardware and peripheral replacements to software installations, upgrades, and repairs, including virus removal and operating system maintenance.• Managing inventory of small electronics that were in for warranty replacement or repair and facilitating communication with customers to apprise them of service status.

My responsibilities at EB Games included:• Assisting store management in running of day-to-day activities in the store including marketing and store layout, inventory management, monitoring of sales goals and initiatives.• Managing shipping and receiving of products and warranty repairs or replacements.• Ensuring the store itself opened and/or closed properly and was always welcoming to customers.• Closing out registers and filling out appropriate paperwork for nightly cash deposits.

My responsibilities at Pyramid Services included:• Performing day-to-day repairs and maintenance on employee PCs.• Installation of software and peripherals.• Setting up new desktops or laptops for new employees.• Performing basic server and network diagnostics and repair.
