I was brought to Mountain Jade in 2017, to take an online platform that was in its infancy and to turn it into a thriving cost-centre for the business that competes with our physical store spaces. In that period, the website has achieved massive growth and well exceed the original targets set. In these six years, the website has seen 200% growth, with 110% growth 2019-2023.This has been achieved through a career leading and understanding UI and UX design and making sound data-driven decisions. I work as part of a four-person Senior Management Team, including the CEO, and report back to the business with thorough and rigorous reporting that drives decision-making. I have been involved in evolving our own brand including conceptualising and implementing our brand campaigns from video content to photography. As well as crafting the brand fit-out and discovery elements of our Auckland International Airport store which opened in 2017. In 2021 I led a project to launch a new brand, Formery (Formery.nz). A destination for jewellery lovers to discover collections that celebrate New Zealand’s design, culture and heritage. The project meant creating a new brand from scratch; from the discovery phase of research and analysis, who our key audiences are, and what the brand needs to convey, through to name ideation, brand design and our brand story.In 2018 I established a partnership with Tarawera Ultramarathon to align with them as a major sponsor of the MILER event. As a business from Rotorua, to get behind an event born in Rotorua and which, like us, showcases something so iconically New Zealand on a global stage and who understand those threads so intrinsically, is something special.

Managing the online program delivery and digital integration requirements of Destination Rotorua Marketing’s (DRM), with an eye to keeping DRM at the forefront of digital and online delivery. Project managing DRM’s various digital and online channel partner agency relationships and overseeing the implementation and delivery of project work flows. Overall responsibility for the management, direction and ongoing development of the rotoruaNZ.com website platform. Managing the delivery and integration of the new CRM system, including associated functionality projects across the team.

Working as a freelance web developer for UK clients such as women’s fashion retailer Mint Velvet and NZ operators like Active Adventures, I was one of the few NZ-based nominated Shopify experts in New Zealand at the time, creating bespoke and complex solutions unavailable through apps. My connection with many former experts/colleagues in the UK, while based in NZ, earned me the title "The night developer" and I was often used to step in and aid businesses who needed someone to bring projects back on track when facing challenging time constraints.My time as a freelancer was fun, challenging and rewarding, but in March 2015 we had our third child (all under five and all at home!) and so I began looking for positions based in Rotorua - to build my own local network and set some roots in the city.

Nature Shop is an international online retailer selling premium "nature inspired" products. With a New Zealand and UK distribution centre we run five separate websites with products and content targeted towards different local audiences. I manage a team comprising of web development, graphic design and SEO expertise and my role is to work alongside them and alongside the marketing and IT teams to implement directives from the board; whether it's new functionality on our in-house platform (ASP.net MVVC) or driving newsletter campaigns and onsite promotion. My role is crucial in terms of linking together the various facets of the business to reach a common goal. I am still very much a front-end web developer and much of my day-to-day work is still focused there. One of my key roles is contributing to the website strategy meetings and driving the company in terms of customer experience and offerings.

I joined Fresca in the very beginning as the fifth employee and travelled quite a journey with the company through to their acquisition by BT in 2008 when they became the e-commerce division of BT Expedite, the retail specialist division within BT. D&B are the leading provider of global business information. In my last year there I worked on internal projects for the D&B intranet; built a web-based sales tracking system built in ColdFusion that allowed the Sales team to administer, manage and monitor individual sales persons/teams results against targets. Responsible for the UK web site and associated sub sites.

Dell is the number one desktop PC and commercial notebook supplier in the UK. In this role I primarily prototyped and designed new web content (XML/HTML/graphics) for EMEA websites.
