Prior to joining CELITECH as Co-Founder and CCO (Chief Commercial Officer), entrepreneurship has always been the hallmark of Richard Bratton’s 25+ year career in online travel technology. He has a proven track record of success with companies in all phases of the growth spectrum — consistently crushing quarterly and annual numbers. Having hitched his wagon to some of the top names in travel—KAYAK, Fareportal, and Travelzoo, Bratton has been responsible for over $500M+ in lifetime sales.As the Vice President of Advertising Sales — Americas, Bratton joined the founding team of KAYAK in 2008 and scaled their advertising ARR from $0M to $200M+ and nurtured the sales team from single digits to over 25 during his octennium. His fiercely competitive and creative mind allowed him to conceptualize, optimize, and sell a suite of new and unique products that generated over $5M+ MoM. This made him a key player in KAYAK’s 2012 IPO execution and subsequent $2.1B acquisition by Priceline in 2013. Following KAYAK, Bratton was poached by Fareportal in 2015 — the parent company of CheapOAir and OneTravel. As the third largest flight-based OTA (online travel agency) in the US, he oversaw advertising sales and operations, meta-marketing, and affiliate marketing. He managed cross-functional teams that developed and deployed a facilitated booking (API) solution with partners such as Microsoft, Google, and KAYAK. Bratton’s teams attained 30-50 percent YoY growth and in 2019, had a combined revenue of $85M+.His early days were spent building Las Vegas’ very first Digital Agency, Stylewise Interactive (which he Co-Founded and sold in 2001), Travelzoo, and American Online (AOL), where he was accredited with titles such as “Top 10 Percent National Sales Performer” (2000-2002), “Circle of Excellence” (2000-2002), and “Number One in US Sales” (2001).When Bratton isn’t obsessing about space or ancient civilizations, you can find him working on his terrible golf swing, shooting hoops, listening to heavy metal, and praying that he doesn’t end up the shortest out of his four very tall boys.
