A seasoned, business focused Talent Director and negotiator, well versed at leading complex Talent functions, and partnering closely with business leads to strategically negotiate complex commercial and contractual terms for large deals. My recruitment journey began working agencyside, initially recruiting temporary marketing roles across B2B industries. I quickly learned the benefit of building long term relationships; both with clients, who would look to work repeatedly with a recruiter they trusted, and the candidates who would go on to become the clients of the future. Often individuals were both categories concurrently. Key to my early successes was dedicating time to working closely with each candidate and client; giving free career and CV advice wherever possible and building relationships for the future when there was no immediate benefit; helping clients get a better overview of the candidate market in order to make fully informed strategic business decisions. In 2012 the company approached me looking to open a new business arm, focused on the growing area of digital, encompassing digital marketing, ecommerce, onsite optimisation and digital project managenent; essentially everything that goes into building and improving websites. This was an entirely new area for the business, and had no proven business case.Over the next six years the division grew across the UK. I was fortunate enough to manage several teams, advise teams in different regions around the world on how to found their own digital business units, and be added to the UK board of directors. After seven years working agencyside, and seeking a role that would allow me to work in long term partnership with clients, I moved in-house to work for Google Cloud. Initially I acted as the point of contact for all cloud marketing and communications across EMEA, before also getting involved in technical project management hiring, hiring for other business units like Waze and finally acting as point of contact for DACH Sales, while having a strong focus on DEI and representation. After nearly a decade of recruitment, I applied my negotiation background to pivot into a new role, working in partnership with internal pricing, legal, partnership and sales teams to help design and negotiate large scale complex Cloud deals with significant brands. Most recently, I joined Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures as Head of Talent, building out a team of Talent (external), Staffing (internal) and Learning & Development across Europe, Middle East, South America and Africa
