• Provide leadership to the Integrity, Compliance and Privacy program efforts of Providence Health & Services/Providence St. Joseph Health one of the largest healthcare systems in the US, with over $22B in revenue from 51 hospitals and numerous non-acute facilities, physician clinics, a health plan, a liberal arts university, approximately 120,000 employees and numerous other health, housing and educational services.• Leads a staff of professionals including: chief information security officer, chief privacy officer, and integrity and compliance managers and their teams of information security, privacy and compliance specialists.• Responsible for providing integrity and compliance program expertise in a consulting and leadership role to region and facility/entity compliance officers, privacy officers and leadership. This activity includes ethical and compliance analysis of complex situations – especially focusing on the gray areas within the law and regulation.

• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors, responsible as the VP for Corporate Responsibility for the oversight of all business ethics, compliance and internal audit efforts for a multi-facility integrated teaching and research health system with 1100 beds in 3 hospitals (Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center, Exempla Lutheran Medical Center and Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital), 120 bed skilled nursing facility, 17 physician clinics and nearly 6000 employees.• Responsible for organizing and leading the Audit and Corporate Responsibility Committee of the Board of Directors and establishing the internal Corporate Responsibility Committee comprised of senior leaders from throughout Exempla’s acute care facilities, clinics and corporate support offices.

• Reporting to the CEO and the Board, responsible for the oversight of all ethics, compliance and privacy efforts for a 300 bed, multi-facility integrated teaching and research health system.• Focused on quality improvement and risk reduction, served on and led numerous committees including: system-wide Quality Improvement Council, clinical and business process improvement teams, JCAHO survey readiness work groups and many others. Significant involvement in overall development of several Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award applications, with a special focus on the organizational profile and leadership sections.• Negotiated a $2.9 million settlement (April, 2003) with the Department of Justice, Medicare and the DHHS Office of Inspector General with no Corporate Integrity Agreement required.• Coordinate internal audit, compliance education and communication, compliance issue reporting, and legal and regulatory investigative and monitoring programs.

• Responsible as the chief administrative, financial and compliance officer of the Larimer County Mental Health Center for all aspects of business operations of the center and for interpretation and implementation of Medicare, Medicaid, federal, state and local business and financial regulations pertaining to the mental health industry.• Lead a team of 18+ professionals in the administration of the Finance, Budgeting, Insurance Billing, Collections, Business Development and Managed Care Contracting, Auditing, Management Information Systems, Personnel, Medical Records and Administrative functions required to operate a nearly $6,000,000 business. Represented the center and Larimer County on numerous statewide finance, rule interpretation and compliance committees. • Implemented a successful cost reduction program and a “knowledge transfer” philosophy to ensure a learning environment.

• Developed and negotiated 230 third party distribution channel contracts and advised Marketing and Sales management on all legal and regulatory matters involving third party distribution channel members.• Managed an annual sales team compensation budget of $60 million to achieve revenues of $1.4 billion with a consistent record of driving Ameritech's third party distribution channel to increased sales through aggressive compensation strategies.• Designed and implemented marketing and sales programs and strategies for Ameritech's third party distribution channel consisting of over 230 independent companies.• Directed and managed multiple teams comprising Product Management, Sales Management, Human Resources and Marketing Management to launch new products and establish world-class sales and compensation strategies.
