Work collaboratively and non-hierarchically to cultivate a clear strategic vision for the organization, and lead Head & Hands’ staff, Board of Directors, and membership in realizing that vision through ongoing work.Ensures Head & Hands’ good governance. Hold lead responsibility for the organization’s material well-being, and work to promote financial literacy and resource stewardship across staff and Board teams. Play a lead role in cultivating relationships with allied individuals, groups, organizations, institutions, and social movements. Responsible for human resources management, and leading the staff team in maintaining a healthy, collegial, and equitable work environment.

Leading a fundraising and communications team responsible for a one-million dollar budget: Media: in charge of all media relations, including writing and distributing press releases, interview and media trainings for staff, writing bi-annual donor newsletters and reports, brand and image management, website and social media managementDevelopment: designing and executing annual fundraising strategy, individual donor cultivation and relationship-building (at all levels), event planningFunding: researching institutional and private funding, grant-writing, pipeline creation, budgetingHuman resources: supervising permanent and contract staff, policy writing, leading a fundraising team and coordinating with frontline staff
