I work for the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) in Albany, NY as a Software Architect. I focus on serving our internal and external customers through the development of web and mobile based software. I am also responsible for ensuring the success and continued evolution of our enterprise architecture and vision. Before this I was as a Principal Consultant and Software Architect at Keane, Inc. for 6 years working in industries such as retail and various state government agencies. I was also involved in promoting the use of software and enterprise architecture at Keane. Before Keane and CDTA I worked as a Principal Consultant for Sapient Corporation in Boston, MA for 5+ years. Again I worked as a consultant and software developer in industries ranging from energy and banking to retail. At this time I got to ride a bit of the Web 1.0 wave working on projects such as BankBoston.com, HoustonStreet.com and Staples.com having fun and solving hard problems while working. That my professional life in a nutshell, other things to know about me. I live in Albany, NY with my wife and 2 kids. I am forever a Boston sports fan and love the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Revolution and Bruins, in that order. I have a theory (probably not original) that most software developers are artists with little or no artistic talent but a strong desire to create new and original works (applications). I also have a theory that software design and development should be more like architecting and building a bridge but never will be.Specialties: Solution Architecture, Project Management, Microsoft web and application stack, SharePoint, Government social media, mobile application development
