Wireless R&D - mobile network research, design and development for LTE and D2D networks. Specifically, I was the Rapporteur for 3GPP's Proximity Services (ProSe) stage-1 study item [TR 22.803] and subsequent specification [TS 22.278/22.115], as part of the LTE-Direct team. 3GPP specified LTE-PC5 for device to device communication successfully. 3GPP is leveraging PC5 to define C-V2X to overcome weaknesses in DSRC for vehicle-to-vehicle communication that will enable self-driving cars and improve ADAS.

Successfully off-shored and out-sourced agile application development to extend Avaya’s network and communication products lines to 3rd party mobile end points: Nokia, RIM, HTC, Samsung, Motorola and Palm.

Provide leading edge wireless ad hoc network and software engineering consulting for DoD transformation programs. Integral team contributions for Future Combat Systems, Objective Force Warrior, and military Transformational Communications Systems. Also lead business development via proposals to DARPA BAA submissions, Office of Naval Research, and various Army battle labs.

Mobile/Wireless start-up company, lead teams of developers and computer scientists to create innovative 3rd generation cellular wireless Internet access products. Development efforts include software products, hand-held computing OS specification, advanced wireless protocol development, and mobile-proxy service node design.

After an internship at Telcordia and full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon, joined Telcordia’s Applied Research department. Designed and built several advanced proto-types for wide-area, wireless access to Inter and Intra-nets. Served in consulting and implementation roles for advanced data (wireless/wireline) network integration and security for the seven regional Bell operating companies.
