As Senior Director of Information Technology, I serve as part of the Dean’s Leadership Team and sit on the Executive Committee where I provide necessary input on issues and topics involving IT operations or support and often present on IT strategy, projects and initiatives. I am responsible for providing a high level of IT strategy, service and support to students, faculty and staff in the College of Business, including clarifying strategic IT priorities and leading IT efforts in support of those priorities. In addition, I manage the operations and infrastructure used to support the unique Residential Instruction/Enterprise Program model utilized in the college.In order to be successful in my role, I constantly gather input from the IT Team and stakeholders to develop and implement a long-term vision and strategy for the use of data, technology, and analytics in support of all areas of the College of Business at Colorado State University. I provide strategic leadership and direct management of groups that develop and deliver a range of services including information technology, data science, business intelligence, classroom and instructional technologies. In addition to my IT responsibilities, I also sit on the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI)Committee addressing the need to welcome and honor people of all races, genders, creeds, cultures, and sexual orientations, while valuing intellectual curiosity and integrity. One goal of the committee is to “foster for its members recognition of their role as citizens in the global community with greater understanding of cultures and perspectives different from their own (CSU Diversity Statement).” The Committee also provides leadership and direction to the College of Business for implementation of diversity initiatives consistent with the university diversity plan.

The IT Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of any approved IT projects which have a beginning, an end and specified deliverables.As the IT Project Manager, I accomplished and preformed the following:• Design and maintain Project Management Plan & Charter Templates • Design and implement Project Management governance • Help prepare IT department for CMMI level 3 appraisal• Serve as Change Advisory Board member • Serve as Problem Management member • Serve as Subnet Manager member • Manage 2 of the largest IT operating budgets, totaling over 1 million per fiscal year• Act as central representative for all IT capital assets • Manage the majority of the IT department’s vendor relationships

The IT Hardware & Technologies Manager (ITHTM) is an integral FTE Management member of the College of Business. The ITHTM is primarily responsible for seeing that all IT equipment is kept in up-to-date working order and will work with the Director and other IT Managers with orations and supervision of Student Worker Team Members. In addition to working as supervisory lead in the OPS Room, the ITHTM will be involved as Management concentrating in the following areas:Technology Budget Preparation and Purchasing The ITHTM will be responsible for the necessary product research and preparation of a quarterly technology budget to be submitted for approval of the Director of Information Technology and the Director of Video Production Operations. Upon budget approval, the ITHTM will perform all purchasing tasks and receive all equipment on behalf of the COB. Testing & Vetting Team DirectorThe ITHTM will manage and direct all mobile platform testing in addition to developing an in-house facility for new product testing, as well as, testing existing systems with new hardware/software integrations prior to going on-line with the new technology/equipment.Equipment Operations Training DirectorThe ITHTM shall direct the training of faculty, staff, IT Team Managers and Student Worker Team Members in technology operations and keep updated manuals available in the IT office library for reference at any time by users/trainees.Conferencing Systems ManagementThe ITHTM shall manage all existing audio and video conferencing systems in the COB; design, purchase and implement new and relevant conferencing systems to meet today’s changing high standards; as well as manage audio/video conference systems designed to integrate into the on-line classroom experience.As well as: Video Equipment Inventory, System Troubleshooting Team Director, Lead Contractor Liaison/Coordinator, Door Security Management, Digital Signage Management and Network Administration.
