- Actively recommending policies that the State should pursue to strengthen and expand Career and Technical Education in Delaware.- Review and monitor CTE programs, services, and activities throughout the state to ensure they meet high standards and address the needs of the community.- Provide technical assistance to local school districts and agencies to improve and enhance the CTE delivery system.- Advising the State Board of Education and the Department of Education on the development and amendments of the State Plan for CTE, as required by the Perkins Act for federal funding.- Helping develop and sponsor professional development workshops and activities for teachers, administrators, and counselors to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality CTE.Support for CTSOs: - Providing support to improve and expand the services and activities of Career and -Technical Education Student Organizations (CTSOs), which are integral components of CTE.- Facilitate an annual awards program to recognize and promote excellence in Career and Technical Education among businesses, agencies, students, and other individuals.- Contribute to the development of the Career Compass and Teachers Guide publications, providing valuable resources for middle and high school students and teachers annually.
