At Extech, we supported over 90 small to medium business networks on a contractual basis, ranging in size from 5 to 75 employees. I worked as part of a team of engineers, and although I was involved in all aspects of support, I focused on the planning of new networks, designing upgrade paths for existing networks, and day to day support for the customers.

Employed as a trainee systems engineer, I learned and developed many of my skills. My duties included the installation of new computer equipment and systems, both by myself or as a member of a team, the repair and servicing of computer equipment and peripherals both on and off-site, customer telephone support and the investigation and testing of new programmes and hardware.
