Directives Online is a cloud-based product that delivers real-time access to health data and estate information. I developed the product's concept, business strategy, and managed contract resources to develop the solution (public APIs, AWS,IoT). P&L responsibility. The product is kept in compliance with FHIR standards for improved integration across EHR platforms and to enhance interoperability. I have demoed the product to state representatives to highlight its capabilities in relation to a state contract award for a health data exchange RFP. Directives Online was accepted to IBM’s Global Entrepreneur Program (now Startup with IBM) that provides credits for free access to IBM products, and also competed for a spot in Cedars-Sinai Accelerator for mobile health startups.

Health IT Social is the largest social media platform for healthcare IT professionals. As VP of Business Development I was responsible for evaluating the market opportunity, analyzing existing customer acquisition and retention programs, and advising executives on digital promotion and product positioning to improve market visibility and adoption.I designed a health plan sales strategy that included on demand webinars, telehealth demos, virtual trade shows, and targeted blog posts. I also implemented digital ad strategy for leading healthcare and IT clients including Meditech, Epic, and Cerner.

I was recruited to return to J&J in a vital role to turn around a key western region territory that was severely underperforming with two new product launches in the pipeline. I assumed control of the North LA territory ranked in the bottom 30% of the US and led it to a top 10% ranking in under a year, leading the regional launches of Xarelto (new cardio molecule to replace Coumadin) and Invokana (diabetes drug). My combined strengths in business development and technology led to my being the subject matter expert for new and existing hardware and software implementations, including regional training. I was also responsible for a critical formulary win (Gold Coast Medi-Cal).

At Novo Nordisk I consistently excelled in exceeding goals, achieving top rankings, and securing key accounts, elevating the Boston North territory to #1 ranking in the US in 2011. My work included promoting biotech products (Victoza, Levemir, Novolog) and injectables for the treatment of diabetes to endocrinologists, managing key accounts (The Joslin Diabetes Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital), and design of a Managed Markets training program for physicians. During this time I designed an innovative data capture and lead generation system for use at Pri-Med CME events that leveraged bar code scanners and tablets to record doctor inquiries that were then mapped for territory follow-up in real-time. This system was rolled out nationally and led to my contribution to other medical education / data projects. I also identified a key EMR formulary error at Mass General that led to increased insulin revenues.
