Oversaw and directed the growth of a multi-disciplinary NYC office comprised of project managers, civil / site, storm water, waste water engineers, field technicians, field hydrogeologists, and GIS technicians. Directed environmental due diligence, investigation, and remediation of spill-sites, E-designation, and brownfield site. Developed strategic partnerships, managed contracts with city and federal agencies, oversaw numerous engineering and geothermal design projects in New York City.As Principal-in-Charge of PWGC's On-Call Environmental Consulting and Brownfield Planning Contract with the NYC Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation (MOER), administered through NYC EDC, Richard assembled and led a team of best-in-practice professionals and consultants in the fields of urban planning, community and economic development, real estate finance and development, community engagement, transportation and infrastructure planning, environmental planning and permitting, and GIS / IT services.Strategically managed the investigation and remediation of a former brass fittings manufacturing facility in Long Island City, NY. The project team overcame significant technical and logistical challenges in treating deep chlorinated solvent hot spots in soil and utilized innovative technologies to remediate soil and groundwater to achieve a conditional Track 1 clean-up within the New York State BCP. The team proudly earned the 2019 Big Apple Brownfield Award for Environmental Protection from the New York City Brownfield Partnership.
