EMS West is the Regional EMS office for Western PA covering 16 counties for the PA dept of Health Bureau of EMS. Region 04 is the largest by geography, number of ambulance services, EMS providers and continuing education sponsors. I am responsible for the Continuing Education Sponsors, New Course EMS continuing education approvals, EMS Education Institutes and their accreditation and oversight of the examination procedures following the NREMT guidelines and EMS Instructors. Additionally, I serve as a resource for institutes obtaining CoAEMSP accrediation. I am involved with the Region 04 EMS Strike Team as a Command Staff member.My responsibility is to directly lead and oversee the Education department operations.
