Responsible for the leadership and direction of the Snow Products Department, within the RYOBI brand, with the department’s core responsibility being mass production of NPI snow products throughout US, China and Vietnam supply/manufacturing centers. Oversee the day-to-day activities of a team of engineers and technicians, as well as coordinating with stakeholders in North American, EMEA and ANZ markets. Responsibilities included: Conduct research, design, development and documentation for the next generation of RYOBI branded snow blowers, snow shovels and snow moving equipment. Construction including DC motors, controllers, thermal solution, ESD prevention, design & assembly. Lead team in packaging of electronics, requiring durability testing to ensure performance of products in extreme environments (-40C). All snow products released within TTI also require UL/CSA certification. Lead team in scheduling for all projects and maintaining key milestones and delivery dates within Stage Gate process. Project engineering related to valves and fittings for use in energy & aerospace sectors (low & medium pressure small-bore tubing for use in instrumentation, military aerospace, NGV, offshore, nuclear, etc...). Responsibilities included: Provide research, design and development for next generation of dual compression fittings, for use in medium pressure (15ksig) environments. Responsible for all prototype designs, validation plans, usability testing & production testing.  Design of components and valves via following manufacturing methods: machining (EDM, CNC, screw), injection molding, forging, casting FEA analyst for development of new compression fittings, tooling, valves & installation equipment. Products developed are for use with various austenitic steels and other exotic alloys. Designs increased pressure capabilities of existing products and have also opened new markets for sales development (recognized 1M+ in new revenue with potential for 5M+ annually) Tooling design & validation test development involving capital projects for manufacture and assembly of valves and fittings Responsible for documentation of all product releases and testing, quality system and certifications (Process capability, DFMEA, PFMEA, Stage Gate, RoHS, REACH, ISO 9001, NACE, DMV, NORSOK)

Contract and Consulting project work within the medical device & electronics packaging industries. Projects included: Conducted research, design, and development for intraoperative devices and electronics packaging (force gauging). Projects involved component design with medical-grade plastics for use in steam sterilization processes (for both non-invasive and surgically-invasive applications). Material selection for biocompatibility and electronics packaging. Hold US Patent 9,649,236: “Wheel Chair with Powerlift to Stand Mechanism”. Developed a device for a start-up to validate coin authenticity in numismatic research. Worked with a team of five engineers to design and deliver a working prototype and proof of concept. Responsible for all mechanical design and packaging of eddy-current sensors and coin transfer.
