We believe that the future is a choice—a choice we make, every day—to look, or to turn away; to speak, or to be silent; to act, or to be still. Our plan is to leverage our global, digital connectedness to help individuals develop their potential and power as fully human persons; to see each other as we really are, beyond the barriers and boundaries that keep us prisoners of our limited understanding and empathy; and to empower us all to decide on humanity’s fate together, free from the constraints imposed by institutions have failed us. As a member of the Social Venture Network Nomination Advisory Committee, Landry was responsible for identifying and recruiting members to serve on the organization's board of directors.

During two terms of service on the SVN board of directors, Landry chaired the finance and governance committees and was responsible for effecting major revisions to the organization's investment policy, bylaws, and director election process.

In 1992, Landry joined HyperMedia Communications, a Silicon Valley venture-capital startup. In little more than a year, HyperMedia’s flagship property, NewMedia magazine, became one of the hottest titles in the technology publishing market, and HyperMedia launched a successful IPO on the NASDAQ, making it a pioneer in the public financing of media startups, an achievement later recognized by Folio magazine.Landry turned HyperMedia into one of the first examples of a true cross-platform media company, and in the process anticipated several major media business trends. At the start of the Internet boom, HyperMedia launched one of the first examples of an advertising-supported publishing venture on the World Wide Web. As an industry leader, HyperMedia helped legitimize the digital content market through its annual NewMedia Invision Awards Festival, which opened doors for independent digital producers and set standards of excellence in a fast-changing market.

In 1986 Landry joined PC World, the first high-tech publication targeted solely at the business professional market. Landry directed the magazine to appeal to a burgeoning new crossover group of professionals who used personal computers both at work and at home, for business, education, and personal entertainment. Landry later became publishing director at PCW Communications, and was responsible for conceiving new media specifically targeting the emerging consumer digital lifestyle.
