I am excited to take a new leadership role in our vehicle valuation space here at CARFAX Canada.I define and execute the strategy and roadmap for enhancements to our market-based and history-based vehicle valuation model, ensuring alignment with industry trends, dynamics and achieving/sustaining competitive leadership vs. industry incumbents. I work closely with our team's Data Scientists on model refinement, as well as our Product Management, Data Acquisition, and Data Operations teams to ensure that we're providing our models with the best quality data that's available to us. A hybrid 50/50 Analyst and Business Development role which allows me to provide value and leadership within the Data Insights & Governance team, contributing to enterprise roadmap ideas, product validation, and high impact data analysis, while also leveraging my domain knowledge to identify and research key partners to build relationships with in the industry. In this role, I lead the Data Insights team and help deliver on corporate growth strategy and all product deliverables. We work hand-in-glove with the Product Management teams to ensure that our data capabilities are optimized in existing products while developing new solutions. The focus is on key initiatives that continue to expand CARFAX Canada's product offering as we continue to explore, develop, and deliver data-driven products and insights that help millions of Canadians buy, sell, and maintain their vehicles. Evolving how CARFAX Canada considers, values, and appreciates data is critical in transitioning into an insights company. Building successful business cases, earning executive buy-in, and clean execution of projects are key components of the role. This requires being a champion and a promoter of new technology, while providing domain knowledge and expertise to a brilliant and capable team of business data analysts. I continue to support Public Sector Business Development while providing data leadership to the company.

CARFAX Canada is built on relationships. As Business Development Manager - Public Sector, it's my role to manage and execute strategic initiatives to achieve our multi-year data strategy; lead cross organization initiatives to ensure our compliance with each strategic data agreement and to manage, as assigned, any Business Development owned revenue based agreements, and to seek out and manage new data or business development initiatives that result in better customer experiences, cost savings and/or revenue growth. This role also includes revisiting existing agreements and relationships in order to reassess their value and look for opportunities to improve our ROI.

From December 2020 until June 2021, I was Acting Director of the Data Management team while covering for a maternity leave, reporting into the VP of Data Management and Business Development.In this time, I set quarterly objectives with each member of the Data Management team, and ensured that members of the team were supported as we executed the team's vision. Team performance was my responsibility, and I worked with other departments and functions to clear roadblocks and resolve any issues that came up. Creating job descriptions and being a part of the vetting and interviewing process was also part of the tasks as Acting Director.

I am fortunate to have my role within CARFAX Canada expanded so that I am now engaging with Canadian law enforcement agencies as a part of CARFAX For Police. After four successful years as part of our Product Management team, I kick off 2018 in a brand new role within our Business Development team at CARPROOF. I have accepted this position to help build out our existing relationships with our partners in the Canadian government, insurance, and law enforcement spaces.It is my role to listen to our partners regarding the challenges that are causing inefficiencies or problems, and to offer solutions using CARPROOF data. My industry knowledge and familiarity with our many data sources provides me with a unique perspective, allowing me to be able to think outside of CARPROOF's current product offering to offer solutions that best fit the needs of our most valuable partners.It is my goal to provide maximum value for both internal and external stakeholders and to secure meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships.

2016 saw me assume more responsibilities and control over Canadian Red Book, a company that CARPROOF acquired in 2014. This included improvement of its product offering and aligning it with CARPROOF's goals within the automotive valuation space, bringing most operations in house, management of expenses, and maintenance of our key partnerships. By mid-2016, I was responsible for everything related to the operations and product portfolio of Canadian Red Book, a role which continued throughout 2017.This role also provides the opportunity to explore a Business Development role within sales verticals where CARPROOF does not currently operate. With these opportunities come the chance to grow our revenue in spaces where there was little before, as well as forge new relationships with valued partners to help bring about greater transparency and data access across Canada.In the latter half of 2017, this role has transitioned into more Business Development and less Product Management. It's exciting to be able to ask questions and provide solutions as opposed to traditional sales roles.

A hybrid PM/Analyst role, I help guide how our core products should be iterated on, based on what new data sources are available as well as what market trends exist. I help ensure that our products are filling a need in the automotive data market, and work to get product updates added to an agile development environment.This includes data analysis, making recommendations based on that analysis, being a stakeholder for getting the recommendations included in development sprints, and when necessary, helping QA the additions in staging environments prior to being published.About CARPROOF:CARPROOF, a unit of IHS Inc. This role is mostly two-fold: internal data analysis and external data analysis.Internal analysis includes attaining a dataset (either through database query or raw data), and providing analysis as well as presenting the findings in a timely manner. These data requests can be related to product KPIs, additions to our product line, or anything at all that pertains to the data that is kept in-house.External analysis can include providing actionable recommendations on data which can potentially be included in current or future products. This also includes conducting market research as well as competitive intelligence.

As a Network Administrator, I handled management and deployment of servers, services, and the network in general. This included, but not limited to network performance, network and node security, OS updates, and keeping up to date on the current security threats being published.I also tended to end user tech; phones, desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile, and all of that good stuff. There were large projects as well, and being in a small department, it was often a matter of managing the project insofar as keeping myself on track to see it to completion on schedule.
