I am responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from strategy to execution and launch. I am working closely with the executive team, engineering, and marketing to shape the product roadmap and requirements to ensure we deliver value-driven, scalable solutions that meet the unique needs of the eldercare market. I am also managing our relationship with our device design & manufacturing partner.

While at Vantiva, my focus was strategic planning, partnerships, software roadmaps, efficiency, and profitability for Android TV, RDK, Linux video platforms.I led Edge AI development for video products; defining AI & ML software solutions that improve the subscriber's experience, lowers operational costs, improves diagnostics & troubleshooting, increases subscriber retention and increases revenue.

I led the development of a new middleware stack based on OpenWrt that runs on multiple SOC vendor's chipsets for fiber and ethernet gateways. The development of this carrier grade stack was accomplished at lower R&D cost and time to market than previous efforts. The strategy was to recognize that core middleware stack features are commodities. The value is the application environment and Wi-Fi management features it supports while being SOC vendor independent. This stack implements Broadband Forum and Wi-Fi Alliance standards for remote management and Wi-Fi EasyMesh, and support life cycle management of containerized application.

Defined and developed new products and features, ecosystems, and partner integrations to enhance and expand the product portfolio. Also led technology assessments and proofs-of-concepts developments.

Led the Advanced Development and Interoperability team focused on deploying forward-looking software features across Video, Telco Gateways & Extenders CPE software platforms and ensuring interoperability with ARRIS and non-ARRIS devices in the home ecosystem. My team was responsible for advanced development of new ideas / features and proof of concepts to drive productization of innovations to market quickly. My team is also responsible for the development and integration of demonstrations for trade shows and customers. I also coordinated quarterly software innovations sessions across the business.During this time, I led development of an service / application framework to enable rapid development for services that have components on cloud, mobile and video & broadband CPE. This framework was used to create a common interface and pluggable design for TV-based video conferencing using popular 3rd party video conferencing systems. Other accomplishments include implementing a virtualized TV applications on RDK-V with a 3rd party partner, integrating Amazon’s Alexa agent CommScope’s Smart Media Devices (SMDs) and Streamers, technology development related to RDK Downloadable Application Containers (DACs), and more.

Led software development for video and broadband CPE; RDK, AndroidTV, Third Party and legacy SW stacks. Maintained close, collaborative working relationships with major MSO and OTT customers. My team worked particularly closely with Comcast’s RDK broadband and video engineering teams, working in full alignment with Comcast’s DevOps approach to development and test. Also, coordinated quarterly software innovations sessions and trade show demonstrations.

Led SQA teams in Bangalore, India and multiple US locations that performed functional, system integration and interoperability testing of Digital Video CPE gateway and client products. A variety of CPE SW stacks were supported including RDK (Comcast, Seachange, LLC, etc.), OCAP, KreaTV and Thin Client. Accomplished significant improvements in schedule reductions and test coverage through increased test automation and close collaboration with the software development team.

Led design and development of the communications system for Moore's Distributed Control System, APACS (Advanced Process Automation and Control Series). System Architect for APACS: designed and verified system designs. Special emphasis was placed on reliability, robustness and performance. Technology Leader: taught and mentored others in communications technologies, embedded systems, real-time systems, object oriented software design, C++ programming, and portable software design.

Designed and implemented the software for Jade's 1st and 2nd generation substrate tinning machine; a real-time machine control application and GUI. The 1st generation involved a Texas Instruments 530C Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). In the 2nd generation the PLC was replaced with Industrial PCs which performed all real-time machine control operations. The software was written in C and used a real-time operating system.
