After graduating from Morris Hills High School in New Jersey, Richard Nigro matriculated at The Pennsylvania State University to pursue a career in finance. Richard Nigro excelled at the institution, gaining admittance to The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and earning grades that put him on the Dean’s List. In addition, he belonged to the Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society and spent a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland, enhancing his familiarity with international business. Richard Nigro received his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Minor in International Business in 2005 and later accepted a position in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offices of Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, a nationwide leader in asset management and investment solutions. Now entering his sixth year with Lord Abbett, Richard Nigro nurtures relationships with leading financial advisors throughout South Florida to streamline future business. As a representative of Lord Abbett, he offers access to mutual funds, managed accounts, retirement planning, and other financial services managed by the company that can complement an investor’s portfolio. Richard Nigro stays current with industry developments through his involvement with the Financial Planning Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale. By leveraging the business-building resources and intellectual capital of Lord Abbett effectively, Richard Nigro increased his sales for the company by more than 300 percent over the last three years. Richard Nigro aims to assist the community in other ways apart from financial planning; to help military service people and their families gain access to emergency services, Richard Nigro extends support to Operation Homefront.
