Served as a principal at Summa, a Pittsburgh-based technology consultancy. At Summa, my key responsibilities included:• Leading large scale client engagements, from inception through delivery. This included serving as the “on the ground” account manager to work with Sales to continue to grow accounts• Serving as a member of the Summa Technology Board (STB), a small group of leaders at Summa that set the technical direction of the companyMy primary client engagement was supporting Highmark with the delivery of a large healthcare insurance billing system. This was a large ($100M) program and I served as the primary technology leader for the team.• Maintained overall technical responsibility for the application, as well as for application architecture, detailed project management, team mentoring and training• Formalized development processes for the project, including architecture and design, continuous integration, build/release management, peer reviews, performance/load testing, and regression testing. Served as the liaison to Highmark enterprise architecture group.

Served as an enterprise architect in the eTechnology division of PNC. My contributions included:• Building a modern, web-hosting platform for PNC to host all web applications. This included the selection of technology stack, build out of the web hosting infrastructure, developing standards for application development and deployment, and technology enablement for PNC application development teams.• Consulted on a number of strategic e-commerce initiatives, including AccountLink, PNC’s initial web-based retail banking product and PINACLE, PNC's portal for Treasury Management customers.

Developed and operated an Internet job search engine which extracted job postings from corporate web sites and provided users with the ability to search these postings - similar to Indeed.com. First to market with a product in this space.

Served as the development manager and system architect on several e-commerce engagements with the General Motors Service Parts Organization (GM SPO), including the Electronic Parts Information Center (EPIC). EPIC was a web application used by GM SPO customers (auto parts distributors) to order parts from GM. My responsibilities included:• Delivery and support of the solutions for our clients.• Managing, leading and mentoring a team of developers including subcontractors• Defining the hardware and software technical architecture for the application
