At the start of 2024 I was invited to be part of Netwealth's Senior Management Team, allowing for more direct involvement in strategic decision making and goal setting for the firm.As VP of Engineering, I am responsible for the building, performance, growth, and day to day running of our talented Engineering Teams. I am particularly proud of the proactive and supportive culture we have here at Netwealth, and the manner in which our Teams regularly respond to challenges.Netwealth is a wealth management platform, offering expert advice and investment management combined with the latest technology, at much lower fees.I work closely with our Product, Design and Business departments to continue to evolve our digital wealth management platform while ensuring our Engineers are happy and engaged, our Processes are efficient and our Technology is fit for purpose. In my previous role at Netwealth, I formed part of the Core Team, responsible for Enterprise Architecture using Azure, DDD, Event Sourcing, CQRS, .NET Core, Design Patterns, DevOps, Monolith to Microservices, Security and Scalability.Prior to that, I was one of the original trio of Netwealth Senior Engineers that helped to build and launch the first version of our Netwealth digital platform in the start-up phase of the company. Great times!It has been an exciting 8 years and Netwealth continues to grow both in size and stature. I've been trusted with a number of opportunities, and I'm regularly pushed out of my comfort zone (in a good way!) and I've met some amazing and talented people along the way.Netwealth Engineering is a remote-working, agile development team with an emphasis on cloud first, security, cutting-edge tools, design patterns, testability, performance and scalability.
