Commander of the United States Support Group based in the British Defence Staff at British Embassy Washington DC. I developed this new role to build and enhance life support services delivered to ~2400 personnel and dependants based across the US in 30 States, ensuring delivery of human resource management, education, healthcare, transport and accommodation services. Created a new welfare function and rationalised organisational structures to improve team resilience. Ensured continued outputs and communications with the US diaspora during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lead the review of accommodation services, resulting in radical re-development of the team structure to simplify staff responsibilities and improve retention. Independent policy lead for development of change and improvement of overseas benefits and support, linking back to key stakeholders in the UK and supporting services.

Ministry Of Defence

Principle lead for Human Resources policy aspects on leading People Project for the development and implementation of radical new flexible working options for full-time members of the UK Armed Forces. Latterly as Chief of Staff coordinated, advised and ensured key products were delivered on time and to high quality for Ministry of Defence decision boards. Project delivered to time under budget, including parliamentary legislation and information technology change.

Developed and Implemented the Officer Talent Management project as part of the MOD's strategic New Employment Model HR Programme. Responsible for the project plan, I implemented career fields and functional knowledge skills and experience markers to all military officers, including development of IT requirements and creation of supporting policy documentation. Implemented new diversity and inclusion reporting regulations in response to Chief of Defence Staff direction.

Section Head of the Staff Workflow Management team working under the 3* Chief if Staff Joint Force Command. Extensive experience of the inner workings of 4* Headquarters Command Group. Oversight, delegation and quality control for all staff products going to Command Group. Developed new instructions and training package of staff officers. Deployed forward to HQ ISAF as part of NATO augmentation programme.

Commanding Officer (Team Leader) of the RAF School of Administration, managing the development, delivery and quality of HR training and professional development for the RAF's 2000+ Personnel Administrators (now People Operations), including initial, specialist and promotion courses. Delivered bespoke projects to surge training capacity by over 200% to meet urgent recruitment targets, a bespoke IT "get well" package (for over 700 all ranks in a compressed 6 month delivery window) to recover skills following rollout of a new Oracle HR platform, and took principal lead in a joint service training harmonisation package. Responsible for training development, assurance and statistics. Oversight of accreditation for Level2 to 3 student programmes. Leadership of diverse 50+ strong team, plus duty of care for 200+ students at any one time, including young adults.
