I am a very experienced developer with an extensive background in C programming (predominantly in the Linux/UNIX and embedded realms), UNIX and Linux systems administration, and technical writing. I have developed networked applications, written software for embedded systems, served in several mentoring and advisory positions, and technically reviewed several text books.In a past life I was a Solaris consultant, specialising in C programming and Sun systems administration. I am the author of the best-selling book, Solaris Systems Programming, which was published by Sun Press (an imprint of Prentice Hall PTR) in August 2004, and numerous technical articles.I'm also the publisher of Vinylphile, a freely-downloadable, vinyl-centric audio magazine.
