This has included use of cryogenics and high-temperature superconductors (HTS) to increase the sensitivity of nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) spectrometers. Resulting products increased the throughput of NMR spectrometers by over an order of magnitude, leading to cumulative sales over $200M during this period. Also established, with one other engineer, an engineering and production center in California for specialty cryogenic probes utilizing high-temperature-superconducting (HTS) thin-film RF coils, and there did RF design, RF test, probe NMR test, and installation at customer sites. Our CryoFlowProbe won another R&D 100 Award. -
