This research aims to find a method which can improve the KPIs in the lithography area of a semiconductor manufacturing facility. The research also investigates how high the potential improvement can be. The following actions have been performed to achieve this:- Analyzing the current way of working- Analyzing the data (such as process times and setup times)- Developing a simulation model of the lithography area - Developing a scheduling algorithm for the product-machine allocation (using Constraint Programming)- Comparing the KPIs of the current way of working with the KPI scores of the scheduling algorithm by running simulationsThe simulation results show that the scheduling algorithm is capable of improving the KPI scores. The potential throughput gain is 2% within the lithography area.

Design new drag & drop objects for the simulation software JaamSim and implement them in the code (Java).
