Title says it all...Ultimate responsibility for internal supply and import of everything associated with the Agricultural Industry, Export of produce pursuant to the industry, and Logistical Management of all transport/shipping aspects. A full-on/full-time role, living in Ramu on a permanent basis, with a great bunch of people and helping the local workforce to appreciate the value of the products they are putting in, AND getting out of, the ground...a tad different to the Mining industry, but the cultural aspects are the same - helping PNG people to realize their global potential in every field of endeavour.

Keeping the cobwebs to a minimum, and the plant, mobile & fixed, buildings, camps, roads, bridges, portals and local stake-holders all serviceable, tidy and presentable. Implemented strict Safety monitoring & reporting systems, Cost Controls and Departmental KPIs site wide. Overhaul of stock control/Inventory facility to allow critical items management and supplier redemption capabilities.Great crew, with very diversified roles for all of us, and now for the site has been sold. Excellent experience and extremely diverse challenges daily. Hopefully the mine will be up and running again, producing the yellow stuff, one day...soon.

Started off very well...with my knowledge of the in-house systems and the various ne'er do wells around the various Departments, we managed to collar quite a few reprobates amongst those members taking Company profits home with them, to share amongst the 'toks. Then they all woke up, after several years, and had their bosses exclude me from keeping an eye on them. That's when I decided to leave the joint.

1. Stopping the rorts with our local brethren/sesthren from ripping off company profits.2. Preventing accountants from cooking the books.3. Looking closely at accounts-payable incoming items to ensure that they were genuine claims.4. Liaising with supplier personnel to ensure that no one was double-entering the claim values.5. Ensuring that supplier groups actually provided us with the items we were being billed for.6. Confirming that payroll/time-sheet claims were accurate, and no absenteeism was "overlooked"7. The list goes on, and on....

Accurate timekeeping, accountability with record keeping facilitators and ensuring all obligations were met by the company.

Great spot and great people. Highlight of my life, so far.
